Hip Hop
Hip Hop originated in the poorer neighborhoods of New York City in the 1970s, which were mostly inhabited by African American and Latin American families. At so-called block parties, DJs only started repeating the beat of a funk, soul or disco piece instead of playing the whole piece and assembling two different beats. This was the music to which so-called B-Boys moved to the newly created breakdance. With the emergence of the new kind of music.
Locking
Locking's roots lie in the American social party dance scene, which had its peak in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
Popping / Electric Boogie
Popping originated on the American west coast in the late 1960s. The term popping (from: to pop, 'bang') describes the hard and seemingly abrupt isolation movements that are characteristic of dance. In combination with locking, popping was initially known as crip dance because the style was primarily popular among members of the West Coast gang crips. Popping is mainly performed while standing and is based on slow robot-like movements that are combined with softer figures.
8-11 years
Would you like your child to be supported holistically, to move, to get to know their body, to have fun and to be in contact with other children? Then you are at the right place with the children's hip-hop lessons! Lots of creative incentives and opportunities to design their own movement, dances and games are waiting for your child. Today, children tend to move far too little, and movement is extremely important for the child's overall development.
