In 2006, she co-founded Potpourri Dance - an association and dance company focusing on Street & Club Styles and youth development to promote Street & Club Styles and support young talents. In 2009, she established the international street dance festival "Flavourama", now a major global event. NellyNell has danced since childhood, drawing deeply from her Cameroonian roots, where music and dance are integral to life. Her exposure to Hip-Hop and Latin American music through her father significantly influenced her versatile dance style.
As the founder of PARTHOLOMÆ BATTLE in Munich, NellyNell has created a vibrant platform for dancers to showcase their talent and connect through the art of battle. Her creative journey is one of constant evolution, with each rhythm and melody shaping her artistry anew. Dance for NellyNell is not merely movement but a profound form of expression and connection.
In 2025, we are thrilled to welcome Nelly Kuisseu as a judge for the House Battles at SUMMER OF HIPHOP. Her vibrant energy and deep understanding of dance will undoubtedly inspire participants and audiences alike.
Lamine Gassama, a 25-year-old dancer from Munich, triumphed in the Summer of HipHop 2024 House Battle. This year, he will step into the role of judge, bringing his deep connection to House culture and his unique style to the panel.
Lamine is a familiar figure in Munich’s streets, where he dances daily—whether in front of museums, on street corners, or in open urban spaces. He co-founded “Bock auf House,” a weekly gathering that unites dancers to explore and celebrate the essence of House music and its vibrant culture.
For Lamine, House is more than a dance; it’s a way to connect with others and the music. "Through the music, the pulse, we’re all united in that moment," he explains, reflecting on the genre's inclusive and expressive roots.
As the 2025 House Battle judge, Lamine will inspire a new generation of dancers to embrace the freedom, creativity, and community that define House dance.
Marvin Köppel is a rising force in the freestyle battle scene. His journey began in 2019 in Ingolstadt, where he first started exploring the world of freestyle dance. After a long break during the pandemic, he reignited his passion for dance in late 2022, training under Haddi and fully immersing himself in the battle circuit.
With relentless dedication, Marvin has been competing in as many battles as possible, pushing his limits and refining his style. In 2024, his hard work paid off when he claimed victory at the Summer of HipHop Battles, securing his place as a respected dancer in the scene. This win also earned him a judge’s seat for the upcoming edition of the event, a testament to his rapid growth and impact on the battle community.
Beyond competing, Marvin is also the Organizer of CKRA Battle, contributing to the battle culture by providing a platform for dancers to showcase their skills and grow within the scene.
Now, Marvin continues to train, compete, and evolve, bringing his energy and experience to every battle he enters. As a judge for
Summer of HipHop 2025, he is ready to inspire and challenge the next generation of dancers, offering his unique perspective from both sides of the competition floor.
DJ Sumthinjay is returning to Summer of HipHop 2025, bringing his signature energy and expertise behind the decks. Known for his ability to set the perfect atmosphere, Sumthinjay has established himself as a powerhouse in the dance battle scene, providing beats that elevate every round.
Having rocked the battles last year, he is once again taking charge of the 1vs1 Hip-Hop and House Battles, ensuring that dancers have the perfect soundtrack to showcase their skills. With a deep knowledge of rhythms and an instinct for reading the crowd, he crafts an experience that keeps the energy high and the battles fierce.
His presence is more than just music—it’s the driving force behind every exchange, every move, and every moment on the floor. We’re excited to welcome DJ Sumthinjay back to Summer of HipHop 2025 and can’t wait to see (and hear) what he has in store!
